Tassimo, shopping ... belated Christmas!

Hey everyone!

Are the holidays over yet? Can we stop eating now?

I'm not sure if everyone else is feeling especially full right now [maybe a bit tipsy, depending on the family] but I am definitely filled to the top! Every time I burp or hiccup, it tastes like stuffing.

How you do you fix that full feeling?

Water definitely helps. Tums/Rolaids does also if you're feeling very nauseous.

So plans got changed somewhat drastically, but I'm not getting into it. Needless to say, I didn't get to spend a lot of time with Matt today. He got picked up to go to his aunt's place about 1pm. We did get some time together and opened gifts.

That's just a few photos.

I got so much stuff this year! Omg.
Matt and I got a bunch of stuff for our apartment.
I got a bunch of gift cards [because my family clearly thinks I have horrible clothes!]
Well ... when I asked my mum why I got so many.
"You're kind of a clothes-horse" uhm .... what?

I didn't end up finishing that post. Oops!

Today Matt and I ended up spending a bit of our money.
Yes, we got a Tassimo.
It's the T20 and it's a little iffy because it's new and we're not 100% about it.
Sadly we didn't get any of the discs we were suppose to. That's fine though, I emailed the company.

I haven't really gotten much with the gift cards I received.
I got a shirt today, but that's about it. I saw lots of shoes I wanted.
Closer to spring/summer my mum and I are going to look at another mall. I may use one card for shoes.

Anyways, I should finish this.

I've tried 4x to do a tag and somehow I keep messing it up.
Eventually I'll finish the tag and get it up!

Cleaning, Christmas and Angel

Fah who foraze! Dah who doraze!
Welcome Christmas! Bring your cheer!
Fah who foraze! Dah who doraze!
Welcome all who's far and near!

That's right people, Christmas is literally in 5 days! [including today]
Have you gotten your presents wrapped? Stockings hung? Last minute stuff bought?

Have you? HAVE YOU!?

Well ... I haven't. Not entirely at least.

There's some last minute changes/adjustments, last minute shopping [stocking stuffers pretty much] and maybe a few other things.

My Christmas started somewhat early for me.
Went to my Nana's for early Christmas. It was me, mum, dad, Matt, my cousin Connor, my aunt Debbie and uncle Sam.

Matt and I got money - which we are putting towards getting a Tassimo machine. I seriously want one. Neither of us are big on coffee so it kind of works. My mum's basically a coffee addict so it would be useless for her.

At least we'd be able to offer our guests coffee, hot chocolate, etc when they come over.

Speaking of house guests, our house warming party is next month. Then the day after that I get Angel! I miss my bear so much. He's so cuddly when I go to my parents. It's just hard to adjust knowing that he's not here.

This is Angel's "Mama I miss yew" face

Angel when we first got him [fyi - he's 6 now]

Our first picture together. It was webcam. I had to wear that sweater for awhile because when we first got Angel, he was extremely nervous. So he'd hide. That sweater helped me be able to hold him without being clawed to death.

I did some cleaning today. Taking the new vacuum out of the box is like being a kid at Christmas [ironic, I know] The vacuum is tiny but super powerful.

It's the Fantom Power Pet

I am not doing this because the company asked me to. This was a gift from my dad when I moved.

When Matt and I were searching for a vacuum there were a few things we needed it to do.
- Apartment friendly
- Pet fur
- Able to use on tile

We looked at a few places and we decided between the Fantom or another one [I THiNK it was Dirt Devil Power Pet? Not 100% sure] My mum knew we were looking so she helped a little bit [she knows vacuums, she spent 2500% on hers - this also was 10 years ago. Life time warranty, etc. It's epic. Seriously.]

I suppose my parents spoke about this and my dad calls me into their room one night. My dad pulls out the box. I am shocked, seriously.

Today I got to use it. I know it sounds horrible - not vacuuming for almost a month. It's not, I swear. With all the renovations going on, I just decided to wait until it's finish before vacuuming.

What a powerful little machine! It's so mini! I was so surprised when I took it out of the box. The attachments are ridiculous. I have baking soda, so that helped the carpets a little bit.

Well this has been a long enough post!

Hope everyone's having a safe holiday so far. Not sure if I'll be posting again until after Christmas.

christmas and sickies

Hey Everyone!

Oh I am typing this in my jammies and housecoat. I have a viral infection in my chest. My throat is red and irritated plus my glands are swollen. My mama's got strep so when I went to the clinic, I told them I was exposed to it so they could do a swab.

Luckily it wasn't strep because right now I cannot afford to miss work or afford antibiotics. Why is medication so expensive? Well I am drinking my weight in tea [mmm ....], having lots of ice cream/Popsicles.

Actually one huge unfortunate thing is the fact that my stomach has been causing a lot of issues because of being sick. Apparently one of the side effects of viral infections is being sick to your stomach. I looked it up because - as slim the chances are - it's the same as being pregnant. Which I am not, for the record. I ended up researching symptoms of viral infections because I came home the other night, Matt had made hamburger helper [the idea of it still makes me nauseous] and I had been gagging at the scent. [this was the day before I went to the clinic]

When I went to the clinic, one of the questions was about nausea, etc. I told the dr that I actually felt really nauseous to scents I had smelt before. He said that's normal with viral infections because it can "attack" various part of the immune system. I had no idea but that made me feel better. I was a tad concerned on why I was feeling sick to scents.

Now I'm on tylenol [for aches and fever], dry cough/sore throat syrup, and tons of water. Still hurts like hell when I swallow anything not soft and while Matt's lunch was baking, the scent was making me gag again. [Tomato paste, shredded cheese and garlic on bread - like a pizza]

It'll take awhile for me to be 100% because, if anyone's had a viral infection, you can't do much with it. It has to take it's course.

Well weekend plans have been cut short. I was suppose to go to dinner and a movie with Lori and her daughter Sarah but because of myself and my mother being sick [she has strep throat] we had to cancel.

Sunday, Matt, my parents and I are going to my Nana's to see Connor [cousin] and my aunt and uncle for an early Christmas.

SPEAKiNG OF CHRiSTMAS!

I have stocking stuffers left and I AM DONE!

I am so excited to get everyone to open their gifts. I really put a lot of thought into people's gifts. I just need to do some baking for some gifts [I feel bad because I can't afford much but I'm doing so much freaking baking .... omg]

Anyways, I've got to head out because I'm meeting my mum to get some stocking stuffers.

welcome to the new blog!

Hey everyone!

So I decided to make a new blog. This one is more personal that way I can keep the other blog for more specific things. The videos on here will be the vlogs, tags, etc.

I hope you guys like this idea better!

So just an update on everything [since it feels like I haven't blogged in awhile ...]:

We moved on December 3rd - last Saturday.
This week has been really hard because I've never lived away from my mum. As much as I love Matt, I do still get homesick. He understands and tries to do as much as he can to help that. With stress [from the move] and being homesick, I didn't do much this week except work. [which I am getting lots of hours]

Once I get back into working out, it'll be a lot easier on my mind. I like working out because it helps clear my mind and I feel great afterwards. I usually do the Wii "Just Dance" and "Just Dance 2" since I lost my Carmen Electra Aerobic Striptease dvd - which, yes, is a workout. I prefer dance workouts because I think they're more fun.

Although I live literally a 10min bus ride, and I do love Matt, I have been quite homesick. I'm 24yrs old, never lived away from my parents. It's half understandable. I mean it's kinda weird, yes, but it's getting better.

We moved into a place half finished. Our toilet didn't get fixed until that night - 9.30pm to be specific - and we didn't have a working shower until Monday.

Yesterday we got our kitchen counters fixed.

This is really frustrating by not having things done but it's happening slowly.

Once we get everything done and set up, I do plan on doing a facebook-exclusive video. For the blog world, it'll be photos only. That won't be for awhile because we've lost many things. I'm thinking probably end of January maybe February.

Actually, speaking of videos, I have a tag video coming soon. I'm hoping to do more tutorials soon. I had so many set up to do but with moving, I don't have my mirror here and I've lost the cord to one of my cameras [plus battery charger] SO! What I am going to do is use another camera until I can get the cord. [pending I can find my uploader for it]

Choices:
A - Gold and Med-Dark Purple [possibly purple pigment]
B - Classic liner and red lip
C - White and bright blue [or dark] [possibly silver pigment]
D - Non-traditional smokey eye [either gold-ish brown and brown OR gold-ish brown and green]

Those are your choices and I will be updating about holidays [and waist-lines]
